About
Hi, my name is Carrie Twallin. I am a qualified Speech and Language Therapist with 9 years
experience of working in the NHS with children aged 2-18 years in nursery, primary and secondary school, special school and clinics.

When my maternity leave ended, I decided to set up independently to give me the flexibility and work/life balance I wanted and to give me more time with my children.

I really care about helping children develop their communication and interaction skills so they
can enjoy, learn, thrive and get the best out of the world around them.
I love to work with parents to figure out ways they can support their child’s communication skills.
It’s really important to work with nursery/school staff too so I’m more than happy to contact your child’s nursery/school to discuss and share advice and strategies. If your child is also having NHS Speech and Language Therapy, with your permission, I can contact their therapist to discuss and ensure we are all on the same page.

I am a member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).

If you have any worries about your child’s understanding of language, their talking or speech (pronunciation) and social interaction skills, get in touch to see if I can help.
